I have been anxiously awaiting this newborn session since this sweet momma first sent me an email. Newborn lifestyle shoots are some of my absolute favorites - I mean, can you see why?

Families are welcoming their brand new baby into their home. They are so in love and so proud of their little bundle. And I get to capture all of that - the sweet snuggles, the struggle to change and swaddle, but most importantly the budding bond between parent and child. And the best part is that all of this has the beautiful backdrop of their warm, cozy home! Oh my, it just makes my heart melt every time!

This little guy has a very special birthday that we got to celebrate with a little Santa hat and outfit near the end of our session. Sometimes people feel sorry for babies who are born on Christmas day. They worry that the child will not get his or her own time in the spotlight on such a busy and festive day. I, however, think they are lucky. They will always be surrounded by the people who love him the most on his birthday. His whole family will be gathered together every year to not only celebrate Christmas, but to celebrate him!
